Top 20 Favorite Actresses & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Firstly, Chick Young would like to wish you all a joyous, safe, and merry holiday season. Have a cup of human kindness on me! Hiiiiidy Hooo!!

Now then, there's been a meme going around to name your favorite 20 actresses. Although I haven't been tagged yet - I believe that it's only a matter of time. So, I've decided to join in and throw my two cents into the lot. This list is built from actresses whom I consider (for whatever reasons) to be my "favorite." A comprehensive, exhaustive list is neither attempted nor recommended. The following actresses are not listed by any "measurable" criteria other than my own personal tastes. The list is not in order of preference, with the exception being the number one spot, which while I am alive, will always belong to Natalie...

Natalie Wood

Audrey Hepburn

Raquel Welch

Ava Gardner

Barbara Stanwyck

Teresa Gimpera

Rita Hayworth

Edwige Fenech

Joanne Whalley

Angelina Jolie

Cyd Charisse

Sharon Tate

Joan Collins

Barbara Steele

Soledad Miranda

Emmanuelle Vaugier

Julie Newmar

Elsa Martinelli

Rita Moreno

Joan Fontaine

And in keeping with the season, why not add a few Honorable Mentions of a few actresses that I would have loved to have added - and so I did. Special thanks to Dr. Macro for many of these high quality and amazing scans.

Anne Gwynne

Christina Lindberg

Sondra Locke

Gale Sondergaard

Fran Jeffries

Chelo Alonso

Laura Elena Harring

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Happy Holidays from:

nice list, there's a lot I would have put in my own but I definitely would've had B.B., Grace Kelly, and Lollobrigida on mine, and probably Asia Argento to represent the newer talent, and the fact that she is basically royalty.

(P.S. this is Antal, I've been meaning to add your blog to my list of those to read but this semester took a big chunk out of my internet browsing time, but now that we're on Christmas break I've got some time to do non-homework related things online)

Ahh, what a great list my boy! And I must admit that I am not too surprised, although I am a little shocked that a certain host with the initials P.D. didn't make your list, alas maybe next year! (had to toss that in). In any case, I think I would have also added Judy Garland and Mae West to my list, which I'll do after C.E. Good job!

Terrific selectioin of female artists--I wouldn't think of changing any of them although in a more perfect world I would add a few and still stay within the limits of the list:

Maggie Cheung Man Yuk

Carina Lau

Natalie Baye

Elizabeth Taylor

One of the reasons that Joane Whaley is on my ist is that she has such a striking resemblance to Natalie Wood, always a favorite. My all time favorite is Barbara Stanwyck--at least she is this month.

Ed Baby! Missed you. Let's get together soon. I'd be most happy to include your ladies on my list! Although, pity I've only seen a precious few movies with Natalie Baye. I also wanted desperately to include Marisa Mell - but finally I thought, you're just gonna keep on listing and listing and listing. Funny thing is that I only got to know Chelo Alonso this year through my friend Carlos Aguilar - and WOW, where were you all my life! What an amazing woman. Thanks for your input and don't be a stranger around these here parts!
