Absolutely. That was one of the reasons that I was so curious as to who she was. She reminded a lot of Whalley and by extension a bit of Natalie Wood too (two people I have blogged about a lot on TA). Thanks for your comment and input - and yeah, I think the Whalley likeness is very strong. Barbara is HOT!
It's funny seeing Alain Delon there whilst I am re-watching 'Masculin Feminin'. I have always felt, even as a teenager, that Jean-Pierre Leaud was a dead ringer for Delon- mainly when he got older. Naturally I have yet to find anyone who agrees, but it is funny what one mind's eye sees and another cannot.
Anyway, it's not an important point; they are both extremely talented men, and I look forward to seeing more of their films, now that DVD leaves us no more excuses for not doing so.
I very much enjoy your site. I guess the beauty of such blogs is to supplement one's own film knowledge. I often catch myself saying the 'underrated' Alain Delon, when the reality of the situation could not be further from the truth. Delon, in his day (and in certain circles even today) was anything but underrated.
The weakness is my knowledge of certain actors, certain genres, and I thank you for firming up some of those areas for me.
Speaking of firming up certain areas, as you say, Barbara is indeed hot!!
I could not ave helped you with the picture but was happy to see you pop on my RSS thingy with a new post after a period of hybernation. Hope you're well.
Thank you Mandingo for you very flattering comments. Glad you dig the crap I write - when I have a chance to write, which these days isn't often!
Sindri - absolutely. I really wouldn't mind getting a look like that every blue moon. Hell, once a year would probably do it.
BILL!! Long lost Brother. Sorry mate - no time for anything these days. Family illness and too much work. Hopefully someday things will settle down. Take care man.

Media fan and scholar. Mad musings and fatty drippings from my mind. Here you will find random thoughts about film, television, pop-culture, theory, and other nonsense. There will Probably a lot on horror and exploitation.

It's Barbara Lass. Delon's partner in the movie "Que Gioia Vivere" (1961). It seems the photo is not a clip of the movie, 'though.
MANY THANKS kind sir or madame! Wow, that was not one of my guesses. And, I have at least one film with Barbara, "Werewolf in a Girls Dormitory"
I ALSO didn't know that she was the former Mrs. Polanksi. Amazing, thanks for the information, very much appreciated. Best, Chick
Is it just me, or does she look an awful lot like Joanne Whaley-Kilmer?

I wasn't sure who she was Chick, but I love that expression nonetheless!
